Sky Lagoon ticket prices

One pass, one ritual, an ocean on the far side of a 75-metre infinity edge. The price changes with the day you pick, your age and the shop you buy from.

Booking choice: The Sky Lagoon ticket, from $116 per person. Check dates Tour details

An adult Sky Lagoon pass costs ISK 14,990 to ISK 19,990 on the official site this winter. That is two passes, Saman and Sér, each with a weekday and a weekend price. Both include the full seven-step Skjól ritual. The only thing the extra money buys is a private changing room.

Below: the official prices in krónur, read on Sky Lagoon's packages page and its booking engine, set against what Viator charged for the same ticket. Then the extras that change the bill: the bus, the packages for two, the six-visit pass and the day tours that fold the lagoon in. Prices move with the date and the exchange rate, so treat every figure as a from-price.

The quick answer

Saman costs ISK 14,990 on a weekday and ISK 16,990 at the weekend; Sér costs ISK 17,990 and ISK 19,990. Ages 12 to 14 pay half. Viator sold the same ticket, from Sky Lagoon itself, from $116, below the official site's own $129.88. Add ISK 2,499 for the return bus from BSÍ if you don't want a taxi.

How much is a Sky Lagoon ticket in 2026?

From ISK 14,990 for an adult Saman pass on a weekday to ISK 19,990 for Sér on a Saturday. Youth passes for ages 12 to 14 cost half.

We checked the booking engine for one adult in November 2026. The price is the same at every time of day; the day of the week is what moves it, by ISK 2,000.

PassWeekdayWeekendYouth 12 to 14Site USD from

Sér (private changing room)ISK 17,990ISK 19,990ISK 8,995$155.87

Both passes include admission, one journey through the seven-step ritual, a towel, shampoo and conditioner. You can stay in the lagoon until closing. Children under 12 can't come at all, on any ticket.

The ticket itself, sold by Sky Lagoon: lagoon, sauna, scrub and elixir, from $116.

Is it cheaper to book Sky Lagoon on Viator or on the official site?

On the day we checked, Viator was cheaper: the ticket started at $116, against $129.88 on skylagoon.com. Both sell the same pass from the same operator.

The Viator listing (the Sky Lagoon ticket with the ritual) is run by Sky Lagoon itself. You pick Saman or Sér and a time slot, exactly as on the official site. The from-price on both sides is the cheapest weekday Saman slot, so compare like for like: same date, same pass.

Where Viator wins beyond price: free cancellation up to 24 hours before through the app, and one place to manage the rest of your Iceland bookings. Where the official site wins: youth tickets at a clear half price, gift cards and the multi-pass, which Viator doesn't sell. Guests also report that changing a time slot through Viator was easy. One wrote: "I liked booking through Viator since it made it so easy to edit my time."

Same water, same ritual, whichever shop you buy from.

Why do weekend tickets cost more?

Sky Lagoon uses a flat weekend surcharge of ISK 2,000 per adult on both passes. Friday, Saturday and Sunday slots also sell out first.

The weekday Saman pass is the cheapest way in. If your dates are flexible, Tuesday to Thursday saves ISK 2,000 each, which pays for the return bus with change.

Time matters for availability, not price. Three weeks before the November dates we checked, the 14:00 and 15:00 slots were already gone. Book the afternoon early, or go at 10:00 when the lagoon opens in winter: reviewers say the crowds build after lunch. One guest in September 2026 said to "go early as crowds built quickly in the afternoon." Check the winter opening hours before you pick a slot.

How much does the transfer add?

ISK 2,499 return on the official Reykjavík Excursions shuttle from BSÍ, or from $149 for ticket and bus together on Viator. A private car costs far more.

Your options, from cheapest to dearest:

OptionWhat you getCost
City bus (Strætó)Bus 4 to Hamraborg, then 35 or 36ISK 690 per ride
Reykjavík Excursions shuttleReturn coach from BSÍ, hourly; no ticketISK 2,499 return
Ticket with the return busPass + the same coach, hotel bus stop pickupFrom $149
Private return carDriver there and back; transfer only, no ticketFrom $129
Ticket with a private carPass + private car from your hotelFrom $321

The bundle is fair value. A weekday Saman pass plus the shuttle comes to ISK 17,489 if you buy both on the official sites, roughly what the $149 Viator bundle costs. At the weekend the bundle comes out ahead. The private car is a comfort buy, not a necessity: the lagoon is 13 minutes from the centre. More in how to get to Sky Lagoon.

Are the Sky Lagoon packages for two worth it?

Only if you want the platter and a drink anyway. Date Night costs $173.20 per person with Saman, about $43 more than the pass alone.

Sky Lagoon sells three packages for two, priced per person:

  • Date Night: two passes, one drink each and a shared Sky Platter, from 12:00 daily. Saman $173.20, Sér $195.73.
  • Taste of the Season: the same idea with a seasonal platter, 28 September to 5 November. Saman $170.60, Sér $193.13.
  • A Morning Moment: juice, coffee and a breakfast platter, 9:00 to 12:00. Saman $155.00, Sér $178.61.

The arithmetic: the Sky Platter alone costs $69.23, so half of it is about $35 per person. Add a drink and Date Night roughly breaks even with buying it all separately. It saves you nothing, but it doesn't cost you either. We break down every package in the packages for two post.

Is the Sky Lagoon multi-pass a good deal?

Yes, if you live in Iceland or come back often: six visits cost $389.63 with Saman, $64.94 a visit, half the single price. It is for one person and lasts four years.

There are two versions. Venja is six Saman visits for $389.63; Hefð is six Sér visits for $467.61. Both are valid for four years and can't be shared. For a one-week trip, even two visits won't make it pay. Gift tickets are also valid for four years and sold on the official site.

Which day tours include the Sky Lagoon ticket?

Five day tours on Viator put the pass in the price, from $241 for the Golden Circle with a farm stop. On the South Coast tour the lagoon is an option you must choose.

Take the pass value out of the price and the tour part often costs less than a plain Golden Circle trip:

TourFromTicket included?Length
Golden Circle, Friðheimar farm and Sky Lagoon$241Yes10.5 hours
Golden Circle, Kerið and Sky Lagoon$249Yes10 hours
South Coast and Sky Lagoon$258Only if you pick that option13 hours
ATV quad ride and Sky Lagoon$315Yes, with the ritual8 hours
Silfra snorkel and Sky Lagoon$349Yes, Saman; no transport7.5 hours

The catch with a combo: you arrive at the lagoon at the end of a long day, often in the dark in winter. That suits some people perfectly. If you want the sunset from the water, go on a separate day.

Where is the cheapest Sky Lagoon ticket?

A weekday Saman pass is the cheapest adult entry, either on Viator from $116 or on the official site for ISK 14,990. There is no lagoon-only pass any more.

You may still see a cheaper "Pure Lite" pass mentioned on resale sites. That was a lagoon-only pass and it no longer exists; even the Viator ticket's web address still says Pure-Lite, but it sells Saman and Sér with the ritual. Old names to ignore: Pure is now Saman, Sky is now Sér. The details are in Saman vs Sér.

What else adds up on the day: swimsuit rental if you forget yours, luggage storage at ISK 990, and drinks at the in-water bar, capped at three alcoholic drinks per adult. Cash is accepted only in krónur; most people pay with the wristband linked to their card.

The cheapest way in: a weekday Saman slot, ritual included, free cancellation up to 24 hours before.

Frequently asked questions

How much is Sky Lagoon for a 12-year-old?

Is the ritual included in every Sky Lagoon ticket?

Yes. Both passes sold today, Saman and Sér, include one journey through the seven-step Skjól ritual. There is no cheaper lagoon-only ticket.

Can I buy Sky Lagoon tickets at the door?

Only if there is space left. Sky Lagoon strongly recommends booking ahead, and popular afternoon slots sell out weeks in advance.
