BusTravel Iceland · Reykjavík
BusTravel Iceland's minibus covers Þingvellir, Geysir, Gullfoss and Kerið, adds the Friðheimar greenhouse farm with a horse show, and ends with about two hours at Sky Lagoon. Pick it over the plain Golden Circle combo for the farm: guests call the horses and the greenhouse the surprise of the day.

BusTravel Iceland runs this as a three-in-one day of about 10.5 hours. The Golden Circle part is the classic: Þingvellir rift valley, the Geysir field and Gullfoss. The extra is Friðheimar in Reykholt, a family farm that grows tomatoes all year in geothermal greenhouses and keeps Icelandic horses. You get a horse show where they demonstrate the breed's smooth gait, a greenhouse tour and tomato snacks. Kerið crater's fee is in the price too.
Lunch is listed as not included, and that confuses people. In practice the group usually eats at the greenhouse restaurant, where the tomato soup with fresh bread is famous; you pay for it there. Most guests love it, one called it "a strange kinda forced lunch", and one wasn't told about it at all. Bring a card.
The day ends at Sky Lagoon, where you choose between two ticket options and get about two hours. Some groups are taken home by taxi ordered by the operator afterwards; others meet the bus again. Reviews of the guides are glowing, with one sharp exception: a guest whose driver left the group at the farm for over two hours to ferry other passengers. A late passenger can also stretch the day to 12.5 hours.
From your hotel or the nearest bus stop in the centre.
The rift valley first, then the hot springs and Strokkur's eruptions.
Horse show, greenhouse tour, tomato tasting and the chance to buy lunch in the greenhouse.
The double waterfall, then the red crater lake.
The ticket is included. Afterwards you ride back by bus or, on some days, by a taxi the operator orders.
★★★★★The Fridheimar Tomato Farm with the added Horse "show" was a real highlight and the atmosphere was outstanding. We loved doing the Sky Lagoon at the end of the day...beautiful and relaxing!
★★★★★Pick up at the hotel was on time and flawless, and they ordered a taxi to take us home after our soak at the sky Lagoon. Overall, everything worked out perfectly and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.
★★★★★The 7 step ritual at the Sky Lagoon was the icing on the cake. We even spotted the Northern Lights whilst in the lagoon itself which was a magical experience.
★★★★★The farm visit was the highlight. Loved the horse show. Tried tomato beer…not a fan, but the tomato soup was delicious! Sky lagoon was a great ending to the day.
